I recently encouraged someone to join a particular Facebook page. I got off the phone after telling the person I would call them back after I ate my dinner. While eating my spinach I realized that this person was very new with Facebook. I would have to take time and go step by step so they could easily visit that Facebook page when they signed into thier account.
That raised a questlion for me. “How do I usually sign into my Facebook pages?” Well, the Facebook pages I set up are easy. I just go to my Home page and their they are on the left high above the fold. Yet, everytime I visit another page I signed up to I either place it into the seach box or wait until someone places a comment or LIKE to a post I made on that page. Then I get this notification.
Ok, I had to search on Facebook in the help section to find out that all my groups and pages were listed, BELOW THE FOLD on the INFO under my profile. It’sBoomer Time! I discoverd something I did not know.
So, there before me were goobs of groups and 148 pages I had clicked on to join. The sad thing is I have seldom visited these great pages. Hence, the reason for this new series of posts. I am going to share some reviews of my Facebook Fan pages. I want others to see some of the pages that provide insight, inspiration and powerful information.
So join me and if you have some pages you want to share along the way just send me the review or post as a comment.
Are you thinking about changing careers or need help in the career you are in? Well, if you are consider visiting Kevin Thompsons Facebook Page.
(Please note that the Facebook Pages are behind the scenes. You will see the postings on the wall but they differ from the main Facebook chatter. It is usually niched for business.)
He knows about career transitions. He is a social media expert and trainer in topics that include Team Building. But he is also trained as a hospital administrator. Economic dramas have exposed him to various opportunities to get re-tooled and gain expertise in new areas as a baby boomer.
His Facebook page is evolving and I encourage you to start more discussions for him and others to address.

This charming and informative fan page is administered by Walethia Aquil.
I was captivated by the quote she has on her website:
“What price would you pay for freedom, enhanced relationships, and living the life style you want and deserve.” -Walethia Aquil
She also said, “Don’t allow the lack of knowledge to sabotage your business and personal relationships.”
As soon as you get to the Facebook Page of Suzie Cheel she engages you with a video. I love her energy, sincerity and warmth. You get to know her right away while she shares what her page is all about. She is using a Welcome page which I have not seen too often on pages. As a matter of f act I hope she shares how she did it and the apps she used for her html opt in. How very cool.
Her scenic background invites you to go sip on some green tea and rest while you chat with Suzie.
So far she has 91 likes and I strongly suspect it will just go up. I am hoping that she does share some of her cooking tips. Keep up the great work Suzie!
Greening Granny’s Kitchen is an unique mix of storytelling and food. Based on a homesteader’s recipes, it features traditional and new gluten-free and lactose-free recipes. This book invites you to:
* embrace healthy eating
* compare traditional and new recipes
* learn about alternative baking ingredients such as maca, amaranth flour, teff flour, date sugar and quinoa
This site is a great promotion for the book. It also has timely tips on healthy eating. There is an opportunity on a tab called FREE STUFF to sign up for the newsletter.
I am looking forward to future videos showcasing some of the recipes.
I love copywriting. I am a wanna be copywriter but right not the cost of taking a course is not in my current budget. So, I learn by seeing, reading and joining great fan pages like this one.

Do you need a Guru? This informative and innovative fan page named Gurus For Hire might be the answer to your Guru needs. As soon as you enter the page you are able to see the expertise of the techi behind the page, Kevin Davis.
He is the second person in the Blog Challenge who is using the powerful “Welcome Tab”. This tab allows you to put in html code plus more. Kevin’s page tempts you with a engaging opt in opportunity. Of course I did not want to be left out. I want those tips that are offered exclusivly for those who “like” this powerful page.
His wall is the best I have ever seen. He has included an image with his contact information plus an offer for a free consultation. Now, just studying the things that he has done on this page is a course in itself.
So, enough said. My fellow babyboomers go and soak up the information on this Fan Page. You will not regret it!
PS Kevin I am waiting for you to add more videos to your excellent video tab on Facebook Fan pages. (A se;fish request)
As I continue my review of Facebook Fan Pages I have joined I thought it would be helpful to share this blog post. It is from a really cool blog called Indie Business.
Now, this is what I am going to do. I will review the article on improving your fan page. I just joined the Indie Business Fan page and will study the information and how they format their site.
I am not a Facebook Fan Page expert so it is in my best interest to stand on some tall shoulders. Remember, I am a baby boomer and that is how we do things, right? So, take a few minutes to read this power-packed article on enhancing your fan page.
Please share whatever changes you made to your fan page as a result.
Oh, did I tell you that their fan page has 1,031 fans? They must be doing something right!
