I regret that I was not in the audience with my husband to see this riveting recital by Brenda Mitchell. It seems like only yesterday when I saw her in the hospital after a challenging surgery and she wondered if she would ever sing again. Now the two songs in this recital are reflective of much of her life.

A woman with an extensive work history in customer service, fashion PLUS singing and acting. Her first song, “God Uses Ordinary People ” is song with the aura of her church work, care-giving and matrix of compassion with friends and family. Whereas, the second song, “Whatever Lola Wants” shows her lighter side of fun and emotional expressions.

I hope I get to the next recital by this awesome woman who is still taking voice and music lessons. She has decided that this is what she wants and with God’s help she is getting it!
