I just reviewed an excellent post about Facebook privacy. For example, did you know that you can insure that you are not tagged in a photo? Ok, some of you are saying what is a photo tag?

But seriously, even if you never knew about these issues read this article and more will become clear. Read 10 New Privacy Settings Every Facebook User Should Know.

Remember, many babyboomers are not on Facebook because they are concerned about some of these issues.

PS Be sure to read the 131 comments that come with this excellent post.

  1. This is a fabulous article, Rosie. I primarily use Facebook as a way to market my website so I don’t post personal photos or add much about my private life at all. Therefore, I’m not too worried for myself. However, I do know many others who “let it all hang out.” I think they need to be careful and will recommend this article so that they can review their options.
As always, you’re my web guru–love coming to your site to find out the latest!

  2. I haven’t personally seen people revealing too much personal information other than the occasional, “I’m not having a good day” but I do believe the article is correct that everyone needs to protect their image and the information they put out there. What you do in social media STAYS there forever. I keep telling my daughter that.
