There were many Mother Day messages yesterday. Many came from internet marketers. But after hearing a great message at church from my Pastor’s wife I read a post that was special. Why was it special? Because the focus was on how older women sustain dramas in their life.  These older women have passed this on to younger women and the keep doing it.

Hence, baby boomer women have not only learned how to cope with life issues from older women in their lives, but are finding added purpose by passing on their knowledge and expertise to younger women today. Now we have the internet. That means blogging and other forms of social media are making it even easier for us to share our wisdom.

Now, off course, baby boomer men are doing the same thing. But today I wanted to showcase a baby boomer woman who posted a message on time management on a blog talking about babies. How cool is that?

The blog is titled, Baby Boomer Bites, and read the About the Author section of the blog to get an idea of the wisdom behind this site.

Nonna Joann Bruso is the Baby Bites Blogger

Let me give you a big Nonna hug to welcome you to my blog home. My grandkids call me “Nonna,” and you can, too.

It’s true, “Necessity is the (grand) mother of invention.” Stumped over failed methods that did nothing to change my grandson’s picky eating, I was asked for suggestions on how to overcome his aversion to eating many foods. I have over 40 years of experience in parenting and nutrition has been a passion (which began by solving another health issue for a daughter).

After throwing out trendy (but ineffective) methods and implementing a multi-sensory approach, we began to see a dramatic transformation in a matter of days! We were ecstatic when Joshy, the king of picky eaters, began to eat once-refused whole foods on his own! I call this technique the Baby Bite steps. It works for all picky eaters, because it’s not really about eating, but about learning. Of course, it didn’t take long and the Baby Bite steps became a book: “Baby Bites: Transforming a Picky Eater into a Healthy Eater.” Next, it seemed logical for twice-weekly podcast, “What’s Cookin’ with Nonna?” where I serve up oodles of food fun and hot kitchen tips, with a generous helping of sizzling nutrition news…and now the Baby Bites Blog!

Make yourself at home and let’s chat. I’ll do everything I can to help you transform your picky eater into a healthy eater!

So, enjoy this post called A Mother’s Day Gift for you. And for all the baby boomers reading this post, keep passing it on!
