Family and Community of Somerset County is a non-profit agency, which has been in existence for more than 40 years. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life of individuals, children, families and communities by providing professional family, mental health and addictions services and innovative community-based programs.

Our two major programs are the Individual and Family/Mental Health Program which addresses a wide range of problem areas including anxiety, depression, suicide prevention and other mental health issues; behavioral and other acting out difficulties; relationship, marriage, and family issues; domestic; and family violence and the Addictions Program which addresses substance use/abuse (alcohol and other drugs) problems.

All counseling and psychiatric services are provided on a sliding scale basis and the majority of the clients have lower fees. Our agency has been the one of the few in Somerset County to consistently offer a licensed, Master’s level mental health/family clinician to the Spanish speaking population over the past three years.  The agency also has two part-time psychiatrists that the clients may see for psychiatric and/or medication assessment services as needed. In addition to word of mouth, other referrals include the local school systems, DYFS, Somerset County Probation and Court, and other agencies.

One thought on “Baby Boomers if You are in New Jersey and Remember the Beatles…”
  1. I saw the original show “Beatlemania” in the late 70s and it was absolutely wonderful – it was like seeing The Beatles live again at a concert – sort of like a time machine!
Anyone who can go see it should take the opportunity – especially since it’s for such a good charity.
Funny, I just did a pop art tribute to Sir Paul the other day – it was the 11th anniversary of his being Knighted – kind of interesting history on The Beatles and the Knights of the British Empire.
